Boost is hiring a Head of Operations to build the next suite of financial tools for Gen Z side hustlers. We know the power of earning money doing what you love, and so do the other two-thirds of Americans who have started a side hustle in the past three years. We believe it's the right time for a new product for consumers - one that empowers side hustlers to make smarter decisions about their business so they can earn more doing what they love. Our solution is an app that speaks directly to a side hustler, giving them what they need to understand their finances and grow their business.
About the Role 🚀
This role is for an individual who wants to own the success of the company and is ready for more leadership in their career. The Head of Operations will serve as the company's number 2 and will drive our short- and long-term success. Starting out, your responsibilities will be split 50/50 between strategy and execution. As the company grows, the focus of this role will shift into more strategy over time.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs
- Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
- Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture where the team can thrive
- Design and implement effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
- Stay updated on local, state, and federal business requirements and help us stay compliant
- Support the CEO in all fundraising activities, including board meetings and investor relations
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Analyze operations and identify areas of improvement
- Develop business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed with the CEO
- Collaborate with HR, recruiting, legal, and accounting partners to create a best-in-class employee experience
- Strategically manage investment and expenses to ensure the company achieves investor growth and profitability targets
